Overview
The Wellness Specialist will assume duties related to employee health and wellness. This includes, but is not limited to, developing SMART goals with employees, coordinating and directing employees to wellness resources, and serving as a primary point of contact for UHS System Members. The Wellness Specialist will meet with individual employees to review health and wellness screenings and create a basic wellness plan based on UHS System Wellness programming available at that time in conjunction with established best practices. The Wellness Specialist will help employees to leverage organizational incentives, tools, and events to get the maximum benefit from this program. This position will provide assistance and support to the Medical Command Center on an as needed basis.

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Associates Degree in health, wellness, or related field
- Required at least 2 years of experience in health promotion, wellness, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in health, wellness, or related field
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in health promotion, wellness, or a related field.
Minimum Required
- Certification in CPR and First Aid within 3 months of hire
- Health Coach Certification within 6 months of hire
- Personal Training Certification within 6 months of hire
