ANOTHER NAME FOR THIS SKILL IS FLUORESCENCEACTIVATED CELL SORTING (FACS)
Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or related science required
Previous travel experience preferred
ASPC (Cytometry SCYM required) or ICCE required Equivalent certs are not accepted An ASCP / Cytotechnologist will not be accepted without the SCYM or ICCE Test
Must have ability and education to perform highcomplexity laboratory testing
Traveler candidate must have his or her own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
Job Description :
Independent judgment and initiative required to schedule organize and plan work.
Teach medical technology students how to process specimens and answer computer related questions.
Responsible for care and accuracy in collection and labeling specimens.
Flexibility and adaptability in emergencies including working additional hours or shifts.
Ability to work efficiently accurately and alertly for extended periods of time and under stress to ensure against errors.
Above average manual dexterity.
Effective communication skills use of computer systems listening speaking writing and reading.
Knowledge of HIS and LIS.
Assorted laboratory analyzers and equipment appropriate to scope of position and dependent upon current technology.
