- Department : ED SOCIAL WORK General Certification Requirements (BLS etc.) mental health background NEED WA LICENSE Other Certifications / Specialty certifications requirements MSW (Master of Social Work) LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred . Working knowledge of Washington State Involuntary treatment act in addition to hisotry work ing with psychotic suicidal and homicidal patients in crisis. Caseload / # patients per day / consults per day 5 to 10 EMR Cerner Do you require InterQual criteria or Milliman experience No What areas do they cover (Inpatient Outpatient ER Home Care etc.) Emergency dept. Common duties / Required skills or knowledge (Types of patient populations DC planning etc.) Mental health assessment for psychotic suicidal / homicidal pts. To determine necessity for involuntary teaetment vs. safety planning with pt. This person would need to be versed at mental health assessments and determining whether or not a patient is safe to leave on their own or whether they need to be held involuntarily. They would also need to write affidavits for court and know Washington state law regarding holding patients who are a threat to their own safety or the safety of others.
