United Heritage is looking for an Actuarial Intern to join our small, close-knit Actuarial Team. This individual will have the opportunity to assist in a variety of areas, from experience studies to valuation to product development, making it an exciting opportunity to learn many different aspects of an insurance organization.
Job Summary
The Actuarial Intern will complete projects and other assigned tasks. This in-office role will work with individuals within and outside of the department who operate in both in-person and remote settings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support data migration testing & reporting efforts
- Assist in departmental/corporate projects to improve/update existing processes
- Complete other tasks as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Entering junior or senior year and pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field
- Programming: Ability to code in one or more programming languages (preferably R and SQL)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
Compensation and Schedule
- $20/hour
- Tuesday – Thursday (8:30am – 4:30pm)
- Internship duration – Tuesday, May 20th through Thursday, August 14, 2025
(end date can be flexible based on individual’s school schedule)
