MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Current WV Driver's License
EXPERIENCE:
1. 2 years' experience in boiler operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1.Licensure and/or Certification related to boiler operations
2.HVAC Certification
3.West Virginia Electrician or Plumber License

1. Installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing, boiler, air handling systems.
2. Operates & maintains boilers insuring a continuous supply of steam for heating building, providing hot water, sterilizing equipment, and auxiliary equipment.
3. Performs preventative maintenance activities.
4. Repairs plumbing systems and equipment.
5. Repairs air handling systems and equipment.
6. Performs monitoring and measurement of water treatment systems.
7. Repairs structural elements.
8. Repairs steam handling equipment.
9. Performs water testing, maintains chemical levels, and documents results as assigned.
10. Operates water softener system as assigned.
11. Verifies chemical inventories and reports reorder requirements.
12. Verifies oxygen levels and documents results.
13. Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles boilers for annual inspection as assigned.
14. Monitors and maintains cooling system as assigned.
15. Installs new or replacement equipment.
16. Performs routine inspection of facility for safety and disrepair.
17. Performs and documents weekly and monthly generator testing.

1. Motor coordination and finger dexterity, good physical condition, and ability to lift/carry minimum of 80 pounds

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Must have thorough knowledge of maintenance for equipment and repairs.
2. Sufficient time will be allowed to become familiar with hospital equipment and facilities.
3. Verbal & technical ability to read and understand manuals pertaining to the operation and maintenance of equipment.
