About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tableau Cloud Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the site administration, maintenance, and support of our organization's Tableau Cloud environment, Tableau/Salesforce integration, and multiple dissemination points for Tableau dashboards. You will work closely with data analysts, data users, and IT teams to ensure the efficient and effective use of Tableau across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Configuration: Install Tableau Desktop across environments, configure site access, and create, delete, or administer sites within Tableau Cloud. Enforce best practices and execute procedures for deploying and maintaining Tableau instances.

• User and License Management: Manage users, groups, and permissions across all sites within Tableau Cloud. Monitor and manage Tableau Cloud licenses, set role limits, and add users to specific sites.

• Data Management: Create and manage data sources, workbooks, and dashboards. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights. Migrate content between environments as needed.

• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

• Backup and Recovery: Perform regular backups and ensure the ability to restore Tableau repositories when needed.

• Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to Tableau users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve data-related problems in dashboards and reports.

• Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and documentation to support end-users.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Tableau Cloud and Tableau Desktop.

• Experience with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of Tableau environments.

• Expertise in working with multi-site environments and setting up security around projects, workbooks, and views.

• Familiarity with Active Directory integration and user management.

• Proficiency in SQL and database management.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of data visualization best practices.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

• Knowledge of Tableau licensing and server management.

• Ability to automate tasks using Tableau tools (e.g., tabcmd, tabadmin).

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000

*This position is externally funded and continued employment is contingent upon the ongoing availability of that funding. It is anticipated to continue through at least March 31, 2027.
