The Opportunity

United Imaging is rapidly growing its North American Sales and Service group, headquartered in Houston, Texas. United Imaging’s Operations group is seeking a Business Process Management Specialist to drive lasting, scalable improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing, and refining durable mechanisms that enable United Imaging to scale efficiently while delighting customers and maintaining consistency and high standards.

You will be a systems thinker passionate about creating scalable solutions, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and as adept at seeing the big picture as they are diving into details.

The ability to simplify operational processes and decrease the operational load on the business will be key to success.

Familiarity with process automation and experience leveraging technology and tooling to create durable, scalable solutions is preferred. You will be working closely with the IT group in preparation and implementation of new ERP systems.

You will support the design and deployment of the Business Process Management program to manage and optimize key processes in partnership with cross-functional Business Process Owners (e.g. Sales, Service, Factory, Operations, Quality and Business Management). This position will be critical to enabling the organization to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and achieve scalable growth objectives to improve quality, capacity (productivity), and urgency (cycle times), while cultivating a foundational end to end process mindset that values and leverages operational measures to realize data driven continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Process Analysis and Improvement: Provides insights on process mapping, performance management and continuous improvement projects. Centralize and automated process maps to drive efficient day-to-day execution of activities.
  • Spearheads standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, going beyond creation to encompass the critical task of embedding these processes within the organizational fabric and driving their adoption across all levels.
  • Process & Performance Management: Partner with cross-functional business leaders and subject matter experts to optimize process mapping, establish and report process measures to track and manage critical health indicators and performance targets
  • Continuous Improvement: Project manage process improvement initiatives, including defining project scope, setting goals, creating project plans, and coordinating resources to ensure successful implementation and realization of business benefit.
  • Industry and Technical Knowledge: Identify and embed relevant external best practices, technologies, frameworks, and tools used in business process management, such as performance management, process modeling software, workflow automation tools, resource planning systems, etc.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in Business Management or related field required; advanced degree in related discipline preferred (e.g., Degree in Life Sciences, MBA, MS).
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, operational excellence / continuous improvement, and change management; certification a plus but not required
  • 3-7 years of experience in operational excellence and or process improvement (six sigma training is a plus). Experience in medical device industry is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This includes the ability to listen, understand requirements, and convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, facilitate discussions, and influence stakeholders to drive process improvement initiatives. This includes the ability to inspire and empower others, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools used in business process management, (e.g., ADONIS, OnePlan, MS Project).
  • Experience participating in ERP implementation projects is a plus
  • Demonstrated innovation, flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to meet objectives in a rapidly changing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
