Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our team in Houston. This contract-to-permanent position will involve handling key accounting tasks including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and the Purchase and Payment process. The ideal candidate will have experience in these areas and will be responsible for generating invoices, processing transactions, and assisting with monthly/yearly closing activities. The position offers growth potential for a candidate who demonstrates strong performance.

Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- Generate maintenance service billing for customers and follow up on Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Review and verify employee expense reimbursements with receipts in the Concur system and Lark.
- Process cash applications in QuickBooks.
- Prepare credit card invoice bookings.
- Assist in the purchase and payment processing.
- Support Senior Accountant during monthly and yearly financial closings.
- Provide documents and support for audit inquiries.
- Participate in additional accounting projects as required.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent education/experience).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting functions, including AR, AP, purchase, payment, revenue, and cost.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in accounting, specifically with AR, AP, and payments.
- Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks with speed and accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
