Job Summary:
The Service Manager at Forman Automotive is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the service department. This role ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing efficient and quality vehicle service. The Service Manager will lead a team of technicians and service advisors, manage work orders, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies. They will also be responsible for meeting departmental financial objectives and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Lead and manage the service department team, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
Assign tasks, monitor work performance, and provide coaching to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and customer feedback.
Customer Service:
Ensure all customers receive prompt, professional, and courteous service.
Handle customer complaints, resolve conflicts, and facilitate a positive customer experience.
Oversee the scheduling and management of service appointments.
Operations & Workflow:
Monitor the flow of vehicles through the service department and ensure work is completed efficiently.
Implement and maintain standardized procedures for the department.
Ensure the proper documentation of work orders, service reports, and customer records.
Financial Management:
Track and report on service department performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
Establish pricing and labor rates to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive service rates.
Manage parts inventory and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all employees follow safety standards and company policies.
Conduct safety audits and provide training to staff on safety protocols and equipment use.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle repair and emissions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in automotive service management, ideally in a dealership or large service center.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to understand financial reports and manage department budgets.
Proficiency with service software and management systems.
Knowledge of automotive systems and technology.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
