Concrete Placer Operator (PCCP)

Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment to place, spread, and smooth concrete in compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure proper leveling, consolidation, and finishing techniques for desired texture and quality.
- Operate, concrete placing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance. Identify any repairs needed outside of routine maintenance and communicate necessary repairs with onsite mechanics.
- Prepare construction sites by ensuring proper setup of forms, rebar, and other reinforcement materials.
- Verify alignment, grade, and depth before pouring concrete.
- Monitor and adjust concrete consistency during placement to meet project specifications.
- Address defects, voids, or air pockets in freshly poured concrete.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and laborers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Communicate effectively about job progress, equipment needs, or potential hazards.
Position requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of concrete properties, curing methods, and finishing techniques.
- Proven experience operating concrete placement equipment.
- Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and grade stakes.
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or concrete technology.
- Familiarity with 3D Machine Control Paving Equipment advanced placement technologies.
- Team player and self-motivated to succeed
- Periodic daily travel required.
- Legally able to work in the US.
- Valid Driver’s License.
