IT Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, managing computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems and excellent customer service skills to assist users effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users via help desk services, resolving issues related to hardware and software.
• Manage and maintain operating systems, including Mac OS, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and functioning properly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including LAN connectivity problems and firewall configurations.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and management of computer systems and peripherals.
• Document all support interactions in Jira for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and enhance system performance.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment to prevent issues before they arise.

Experience

• Proven experience in technical support or a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating systems (including Mac OS) and computer management practices.
• Strong understanding of computer networking concepts and firewall configurations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
• Experience with help desk software such as Jira is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
