Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Middleware WebSphere Administrator/Engineer to manage and maintain our mission-critical WebSphere environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WebSphere Application Server and related technologies, with experience in installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain WebSphere Application Server environments (standalone and clustered).
- Deploy and manage Java applications (WARs, EARs) on WebSphere.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization.
- Implement security best practices.
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (e.g., Jython, wsadmin).
- Collaborate with development and operations teams.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
Required Skills:
- Experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
- Understanding of Java EE specifications.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Jython, wsadmin).
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with WebSphere MQ, IBM HTTP Server (IHS), or other related middleware technologies.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).

Pay: $80,514.03 - $85,801.84 per year
