Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Production Manager to lead our landscaping operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance functions of your assigned branch, ensuring the delivery of quality, cost-effective services to clients. The Production Manager will work closely with Account Managers to provide outstanding customer service, efficient estimating, and effective budgeting. This position requires managing multiple crews while maintaining a focus on high-quality landscape service delivery. Candidates should have knowledge in general irrigation systems and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Understand client needs through regular communication with Account Managers.
- Ensure job site quality and appearance meet client and company standards.
- Manage all landscape services, including coordination of materials, personnel, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Inspect properties before scheduled services and prepare action plans as necessary.
- Monitor and identify issues with irrigation systems, landscape health, insects, or diseases.
- Oversee multiple crews, ensuring efficient and high-quality completion of landscaping tasks.
- Assist crews as needed to meet work demands.
- Enforce company policies related to safety, equipment upkeep, storage, and training.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to identify staffing needs, hire crew members, and schedule daily work.
- Oversee employee training, development, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Provide hands-on training and support to crew members.
- Focus on safety standards and maintain safety records.
- Manage required paperwork and Aspire entries.
- Order materials, monitor costs, and deliveries.
- Manage and mentor direct reports within your division.
- Ensure preventative maintenance on equipment and mowers is performed regularly.
- Provide general irrigation system maintenance oversight.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and ensure high-quality results.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and a minimum of five years of progressive maintenance landscaping industry experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Bi-lingual communication skills are a plus.
- Ability to oversee multiple crews effectively and efficiently.
- Knowledge of general irrigation systems, equipment, and mower preventative maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of landscaping equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong listening skills with patience and empathy.
- Highly motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, creative, and innovative.
- Effective time management skills with a sense of urgency.
