An exciting job opportunity has arisen within the United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust's Library and Knowledge Services team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team to work as a Library and Information Advisor at Pilgrim Hospital, in Boston. You will work alongside our three Library and Information Advisors, who are based at Lincoln County Hospital and Grantham and District Hospital.
The Library and Knowledge Services team delivers library services and resources to all staff working at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, and Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. We aim to support and enhance clinical practice and patient care, personal and professional development, education and training, organisational and service development and research.
Main duties of the job
This role is for 30 hours per week, delivering an user facing, efficient, front-line service in the library, acting as first point of contact to all visitors. The successful job applicant must have good customer care skills, with a strong focus on supporting the needs of current and potential library service users. You will be responsible for welcoming visitors into the library space and assisting users to access library resources to find information for themselves. You will also process and answer user enquiries, confidently deliver individual or group library induction sessions and help to source requested books and journal articles from other libraries. You must be able to work flexibly, both independently and as a team player.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
