What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Driver - Mail Processor position at United Mailing Services, Inc.?
This position will drive a daily route picking up mail from customers in the service area that United Mailing Services - Wausau branch covers as well as work in the shop as a mail processor.
As a driver, he/she is expected to: complete route in a reasonable amount of time, pick up mail from customers in a professional manner (using a UMS provided vehicle - cargo van or minivan), and report all requests and concerns made by customers each day. When at the shop, driver should be loading/unloading UMS vehicles and delivering mail/product to designated departments.
When working in the shop, this position will process mail in one or multiple departments through a day. In our automation department this involves taking mail out of mail bins on our sorters as they fill up, putting mail into mail trays, making sure mail put into trays is accurately sorted, applying a label and staging mail to the proper location in the shop after it is sorted. In our metering department the employee is responsible for understanding the functionality of metering equipment that applies postage to mail pieces incoming from our clients and basic software. Also, quality control of work coming off metering equipment. The employee will be responsible for accurately inputting client profile information into the software as well as accurate set up of and completion of applying metered postage to each client. Accurate, detail-oriented work is to be produced to meet our nightly production deadlines.
Rate of Pay: $13-$14.50 per Hour
Position: Full Time or Part Time
Hours: Start time: 12:00pm, End time between 6:30pm-7:15pm - Monday through Friday only. (Approximately 32-36 hrs per week)
