What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Service Associate position at United McGill Corporation?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Service Associate to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production related support to three plants regarding shop orders for spiral or round duct and fittings for HVAC systems.
Duties
- Prepare shear lists for all orders.
- Enter shop orders into Company software programs for production in the plants.
- Enter data into material costing system (cybermation costing).
- Determine and /or verify product specifications.
- Prepare purchase order requisitions from shop orders.
- Maintain the inventory control system.
- Maintain shop orders and other pertinent files.
- Work with Sales offices to properly enter orders for processing and make corrections.
Skills
- Ability to read and review highly detailed shop orders for input into a computer. Prior experience working with blueprints preferred.
- Ability to visualize spatial relationships when dealing with shop orders
- Ability to understand and follow standard procedures pertaining to the computer programming input of shop orders and the costing of products.
- Ability to perform advanced math calculations (algebra, geometry, division, percentages averages)
- Analytical skills necessary to read shop orders, maintain files and organize the workload according to established procedures.
- Ability to prioritize orders by scheduled dates and jobs.
