Description
This program is a 201.5 hour course that spans 7.5 weeks; consisting of classroom instruction, hands on field demonstration and practical application (clinicals) preparing students to sit for state nurse assistant certification(s).
All clinicals are done hands-on with the student and the residents in the Long-Term Care/ Skilled Nursing Facility. Primary responsibility includes planning, teaching and evaluating course participants in the classroom and clinical skills performance, leading to successful completion of the program.
Qualifications
- One year of experience as a licensed nurse providing direct patient care in a long-term care facility plus one year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in nursing. One Year experience as a CNA Instructor.
- LVN License, 2 years (required)
- Long-term care, 2 years (required)
- Current CPR/BLS (required)
- DSD, 2 years (preferred)
Salary : $35 - $40
