Description
We are looking for a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our expanding allergy practice at United Allergy in Encinitas, CA. We are a cutting-edge adult and pediatric Allergy and Immunology Clinic that takes pride in delivering the highest quality care. As a RN at United Allergy, you are a critical member of the care team and a big reason why our clinic is successful. You will be constantly communicating with patients both in-person and over the phone, performing diagnostic testing and evaluations, documenting relevant data, and managing clinic workflow. As such, a positive attitude and professional demeanor are essential. You must be a fast learner, eager to learn new things, and be detail oriented.

Qualifications
We are seeking a LVN with the following:
- At least 2 years of prior LVN experience is preferred. If you have previous experience in an Allergy Clinic, you will be given priority.
- Stellar interpersonal skills to provide an outstanding patient experience
- Ability to multi-task
- An interest in learning and education
- Ability and willingness to assist in counseling patients about basic allergy conditions and procedures
- Proactive and willing to work closely with the physician and other members of the care team
- Willingness to learn and follow the unique work flow of an Allergy Clinic and over a defined period of time, assume the role of nursing manager
- Ability to correctly perform patient care procedures including but not limited to allergy skin testing, immunotherapy injections, preparation of immunotherapy dilutions, food and drug challenges, venom testing, spirometry, administration of biologic medications in accordance with clinical protocols and physician orders
- Ability to recognize when a patient is having an allergic reaction and co-manage the reaction with the physician and other members of the care team
- Willingness to cross-train and support other areas within the clinic when necessary
