About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in the Long Beach area. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations using real-time and portable equipment, as well as multiple imaging modalities. You will work under the administrative direction of the Site Manager and the clinical direction of the Medical Director and Radiologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ultrasound examinations using real-time and portable equipment, as well as multiple imaging modalities
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal image quality
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records and reports of patient information and examination results
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited AMA school of Ultrasonography
- SPI Certification required, ARDMS Certification a plus
- Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers preferred
- Experience in use of Doppler and pulse Doppler preferred
- Current CPR and Venipuncture license required
- Demonstrate competency in CIS, RIS, and PACS systems
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers, and management
- Minimum of three years of clinical Ultrasound experience required
