Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures in internal medicine and urgent care settings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Administer injections, medications, and other treatments as directed by physicians.
- Assist with the management of clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, medication usage, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred; familiarity with urgent care or internal medicine is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting in minor procedures.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred but not required.
