Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing essential support to physicians and delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and the ability to perform various clinical tasks efficiently.

Duties

  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with patient examinations and procedures in internal medicine and urgent care settings.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Administer injections, medications, and other treatments as directed by physicians.
  • Assist with the management of clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, medication usage, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred; familiarity with urgent care or internal medicine is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting in minor procedures.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred but not required.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
