Chaplain

United Methodist Homes in Binghamton is seeking a compassionate and caring Chaplain to oversee the development and implementation of religious services, activities, spiritual support, guidance, and pastoral care to the residents in our skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living facilities. Position can be full or part time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Plans, develops, coordinates and conducts regularly scheduled religious services and bible studies.

· Plan and maintains a visitation program to and for all residents.

· Notifies residents' "home" pastor as appropriate concerning health changes of resident.

· Assists in planning and scheduling religious programs provided by community churches and/or religious organizations.

· Maintains relationships and services in clergy organizations within the community.

· Makes with connections with United Methodist churches in the area, strengthening ties between the churches and United Methodist Homes Campus.

· Provides pastoral care and services to employees as time allows.

Represents the campus at the calling hours or funeral of residents as appropriate

Qualifications Include:

Ordination in Mainline Protestant congregation. Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
