What are the responsibilities and job description for the Companion/Caregiver position at United Methodist Homes?
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Caregivers/Companions on a per diem basis. As a Caregiver/Companion, you will provide essential assistance and companionship to individuals in need of care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Transports/accompanies client to appointments or social activities
- Assists with meal preparation and kitchen maintenance
- Assists with laundry, ironing and mending of clothing
- Performs other household management such as light dusting, changing linens, floor care, cleaning bathrooms, etc
- Encourages client to participate in hobbies and interest in other activities involving family or friends
- Maintains list of needed supplies
- May perform errands such as grocery, clothes, etc. shopping
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance

Pay: $15.50 - $15.80 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
