Cafe Associate 

Position Classification: Part-time - average 16 hours per week

Schedule:  8am – 2pm | Tuesday & Thursday | Rotating weekends 6am-2pm

Community: Porter Hills Village

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

The Cafe Associate provides exceptional customer service and brightens the day of older adults through positive interactions.

What you’ll do

• Take orders in café style setting
• Create an enjoyable dining experience, serving residents and their guests
• Serve and prep various food items such as salads, soups and sandwiches.
• Prepare various drinks
• Maintain a clean and organized dining and service area

What it takes

• Prior experience as a waiter/waitress or server in a restaurant, nursing home, or retirement community serving older adults, preferred
• Previous experience preparing food to order, preferred
• Previous experience preparing hot and cold drinks to order, preferred
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
