Cafe Associate
Position Classification: Part-time - average 16 hours per week
Schedule: 8am – 2pm | Tuesday & Thursday | Rotating weekends 6am-2pm
Community: Porter Hills Village
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
The Cafe Associate provides exceptional customer service and brightens the day of older adults through positive interactions.
What you’ll do
- Take orders in café style setting
- Create an enjoyable dining experience, serving residents and their guests
- Serve and prep various food items such as salads, soups and sandwiches.
- Prepare various drinks
- Maintain a clean and organized dining and service area
What it takes
- Prior experience as a waiter/waitress or server in a restaurant, nursing home, or retirement community serving older adults, preferred
- Previous experience preparing food to order, preferred
- Previous experience preparing hot and cold drinks to order, preferred
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
