Electrician
Status: Full Time
Shift: 7:30am – 4pm
Schedule: Mon-Fri | 40 hours per week
Porter Hills Village & Cook Valley Estates
What you’ll do
The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems at Porter Hills Village and Cook Valley Estates. While mostly working indoors, this role ensures the efficient operation of electrical systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
Electrical System Maintenance and Repairs
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment.
- Install electrical panels, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Inspect electrical components, systems, and equipment for malfunction or potential issues.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to medical devices, lighting, and power distribution systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, such as circuits, breakers, and wiring.
Installation of Electrical Equipment
- Install new electrical systems or upgrade existing ones to meet the needs of technology and infrastructure.
- Work with contractors to install electrical systems for new construction or projects.
- Provide accurate estimates and timelines for electrical work.
What it takes
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician required.
- Experience in healthcare environments preferred.
- Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 35 lbs.
