🎯 What You’ll Do in This Role:
The Launderer position plays a vital role in keeping our community fresh, safe, and inviting! You’ll be at the heart of the Laundry Department, ensuring that every day runs smoothly by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation to the highest standards. Your efforts will guarantee that our residents always have a fresh, plentiful supply of linens, contributing to a comfortable and welcoming environment. If you’re passionate about making a positive impact and keeping things sparkling clean, this role is for you!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and washing instructions
- Load and unload washing machines and dryers
- Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, steamers, and ironing presses safely and efficiently.
- Fold, hang, or stack laundry items neatly
- Iron or steam clothing and linens as needed
- Keep inventory of laundry supplies such as detergents, fabric softeners, and cleaning agents, and reorder as needed.
✅ What You’ll Need:
- Must be 18 years or old
- Previous experience as a Launderer in a long-term care facility or medical environment.
- Position requires the ability to lift and move objects, weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance
