Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday | 8am - 4:30pm w/ flexibility

Overview:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in providing rehabilitative services to older adults with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. This position works under the direction of occupational therapists to plan, implement, or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments.
What you’ll do:
- Monitors patients' performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement.
- Assists in instructing residents and families in home programs, basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment.
- Observes and records residents’ progress, attitudes, and behavior and maintains this information in client records.
- Reports to supervisors on residents’ progress, attitudes, and behavior.
- Performs clerical duties.
What it takes:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- 1 -2 years of related experience
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in Michigan
