Schedule: Flexible | No scheduling mandation
Community: Chelsea Retirement Community | Assisted Living | Memory Care
Location: Chelsea, MI
Shift Differentials, Holiday, and weekend differentials: Beginning 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm $ 1.00 | Beginning 10:31 pm - 7:00 am $ 0.75 | Weekend (Fri 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm) $ 1.00
**Per Diem Team Members are required to work a minimum of 5 shifts per month, based on the needs of the department. 2 of the 5 shifts must be on a weekend. Per Diem Team Members must meet all training requirements within the first 30 days of hire. This will include required training during normal business hours on weekdays (4 minimum weekday training requirements to be completed within 2 weeks of hire)

What You’ll Do
💙 Support Daily Living Activities:
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, changing bed linens, and keeping rooms tidy.
- Ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs.
🤝 Build Meaningful Connections:
- Engage residents in social activities and one-on-one interactions.
- Foster a positive, respectful environment with residents, families, and team members.
- Encourage participation in group activities to promote a sense of community.
🚶 Promote Safety & Mobility:
- Help transport residents to appointments and events.
- Safely assist with lifting, turning, and positioning residents.
📋 Monitor & Communicate Changes:
- Follow individualized care plans and provide updates as needed.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to supervisors.
- Record vital signs and care details accurately in electronic health records.

What it takes
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a direct caregiving role preferred but not required.
- Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 35 lbs.
- Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) system preferred.
