Property Housekeeper
Hours | Schedule: Varies M-F | 24 hours/week
Location | Department: Affordable Housing | Environmental Services Department
This position is traveling to three properties within Affordable Housing. Travel is between Sparta, Belmont and Grand Rapids.
Valid license and transportation required. Mileage reimbursement offered.
The Property Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in the property’s apartments and common areas. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
What you’ll do
General Maintenance and Apartment Turnover
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces for apartments.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces for renovated apartments to prepare them for new tenants.
- Keep building and common areas clean and tidy through daily tasks like vacuuming, mopping, and dusting.
- Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and completed.
Safety and Compliance
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety in all cleaning procedures.
Administrative Tasks
- Manages work schedule and priorities to ensure timely performance of work.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the Property Manager.
What it takes
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in a long-term care facility or medical environment preferred
- Must possess knowledge of the appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
