Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist the Physical Therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures in accordance with current federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure the highest quality of resident care and positive relationships among the community, team members, residents, and families. Duties will include administers traction to relieve neck and back pain, observe patients during treatments, compiles, and evaluates data on patient responses to treatments and reports findings to physical therapist, confers with members of physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
What it takes:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- At least 2 years' experience (preferred)
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) state license
- Excellent verbal and written communication
