Join Our Team as a Compliance and Risk Officer

Are you a proactive, results-driven professional with a passion for managing risk and ensuring compliance in a dynamic financial environment? We're seeking a Compliance and Risk Officer to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the future of risk management at United Midwest Savings Bank (UMWSB).

In this role, you'll work closely with our Chief Risk Management Officer to build and maintain a robust risk management culture, drive compliance excellence, and develop strategies that protect the organization's reputation, security, and financial stability. Your expertise will contribute to overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential risks across all aspects of the bank's operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Strategic Risk Management : Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, implement, and monitor risk management strategies that align with the bank's goals and regulatory requirements.
• Internal Controls & Compliance : Play a key role in designing internal controls, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to all banking regulations (OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, CFPB).
• Reporting & Presentations : Create and deliver insightful reports and presentations to senior leadership, highlighting key compliance findings, risk exposures, and recommending action plans.
• Investigate and Mitigate Risks : Investigate risk incidents, pinpoint root causes, and drive corrective actions to strengthen the bank's risk management framework.
• Regulatory Expertise : Stay ahead of changes in federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring timely assessments of new laws and their impact on our operations.

Schedule : Full-Time, Exempt (Some evenings and weekends may be necessary)

Location : Westerville, Ohio

Reports to : Human Resources Director

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring no less than two days in the office each week. This arrangement may be adjusted at the discretion of your department manager or in response to evolving company needs."
