JOB TITLE: Regional Director
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR(S): Chief Operating Officer
UNA LOCATIONS: MASCO, Inc. in Youngstown, OH and Portage Industries, Inc. in Ravenna, OH. Candidates should live within commutable distance from Ravenna and Youngstown.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the overall operations of two workshops for adults with developmental disabilities. This is a business, finance and management position that operates in a human services and production environment with a significant variety of tasks and duties that are accomplished on behalf of customers and stakeholders to meet the needs of individuals served and the organization. Management and oversight of daily operations, long-term planning, budgeting and other organizational needs are met through this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Adult Services programs run by UNA
- Represents the organization and its people positively and professionally in all interactions through meetings, conferences, customer service and a variety of other professional encounters
- Responsible for assuring maintainance of company records, expediting flow of work, assigning work and tracking work progress facilitating employees to fulfill their responsibilities and oversight of their performance
- Facilitates implementation of company policies and procedures; assists with staff training and understanding of company practices and procedures
- Communicates professionally and effectively with customers and maintains excellent customer relationships.
- Maintains orderly records and organizes and coordinates office functions to maximize accuracy and responsiveness to customers.
- Assures completion of customer invoices and all forms of customer communication in an accurate and timely manner
- Coordinates staff requirements for Medicaid documentation of services and communicates with staff regarding Medicaid requirements and compliance.
- Assures completion of monthly Medicaid Provider billing and coordinates utilization reviews and other efforts to keep Medicaid recordkeeping on track
- Participates in management of compliance activities as assigned including, but not limited to U.S. Department of Labor, Ohio Department of DD, applicable law and rule and customer compliance requirements
- Performs an unlimited range of administrative duties to support the organization's management and finance functions professionally, confidentially and competently and in accordance with company policies, procedures and sound business practice.
- Oversees all aspects of transportation program and meets audit requirements; direct supervision of Transportation Director
- Assists with the interview process for new employees
- Provide oversight and motivation to employees supervised
- Ensured all applicable laws, rules and regulations are followed
QUALIFICATIONS and CHARACTERISTICS:
- Bachelors degree in business or related field
- Five years of successful experience working in the developmental disabilities field supervising staff and programs
- Knowledge of DODD and Medicaid rules and regulations
- Must be able to travel and provide oversight to all UNA locations
- Ability to adapt to changes and spur of the moment decision making
- Open to new ideas and program possibilities
- Must be able to maintain working relationships with employees at all levels
- Mature, credible, empathetic communicator
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit for extended times using computer and/or calculator and telephone. Eyesight capabilities must be sufficient to perform these functions. Hearing must be adequate to perform these functions. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, stretch, bend and lift up to 25 pounds.

FLSA: Salaried Exempt
WORK SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day, and any additional time that is required to perform the job
PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 90 Days
