What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Inventory Auditor position at United Pacific?
SUMMARY :
The Lead Inventory Auditor supervises a Team of Inventory Auditors, assists in the development of loss prevention policy and creates store audit schedules. As a member of the audit team, the Lead Inventory Auditor travels to stores to conduct physical inventories of the stores merchandise utilizing a handheld scanner. Audits of large stores are typically conducted with a team of auditors while audits of smaller stores may be performed with one auditor. Upon completion of the audit, the Lead Inventory auditor reviews the audit results and communicates their observations to Operations Management and escalates patterns or concerns to the Manager, Inventory Audit.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Supervise a Team of 4 to 8 inventory Auditors.
- Assist in the development of loss prevention policy and creates store audit schedules.
- Conduct audits as a member of the Audit Team.
- Deliver an opinion regarding the inventory / cash control performance of the store and adequacy of the ongoing controls in place.
- Identifies and escalates patterns or concerns to the Manager, Inventory Audit
- Where appropriate, suggest changes to store processes required to comply with Company policies.
- Inform management immediately when excessive losses are identified.
- Count all merchandise utilizing a handheld scanner.
- Complete cash reconciliation and verify daily deposit.
- Notify store manager of incorrect prices and pull out-of-code merchandise.
- Verify money orders, lottery ticket inventory and bank deposits.
- Verify gasoline inventory by sticking tanks and checking for water.
- Perform various surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures.
- Work in a safe manner by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Requires both inside and outside work environments.
- Other assigned duties as assigned or deemed necessary.
