Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your security acumen with the world’s largest transportation and logistics provider? UPS is seeking a Security Supervisor who is responsible for claim prevention/reduction, incident investigation and physical security within an assigned area. He/She analyzes claim trends (via Information Library, Siebel and Data Warehouse queries), generates reports and performs root cause analyses. The Security Supervisor also investigates certain categories of paid and issued claims in cooperation with Region and District Security.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervises and oversees security operations and activities
- Investigates incidents and prepares case reports
- Oversees regulatory compliance for the Indirect Air Carrier Standard Security Program (IACSSP)
- Ensures UPS operations complies with government regulations and programs
- Develops and maintains sources of information
- Conducts security audits
- Trains and develops specialist and administrative employees, assigns work, coordinates office activities, conducts employee evaluations and salary reviews
- Resolves employee and customer issues
- Attends cross-functional department meetings
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills; good communicator
- Self-starter who can work under minimal supervision; uses good judgment; able to work under strict deadlines
- Demonstrates leadership, flexibility and ability to think ahead
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
- Able to travel
- Expressed desire to advance within organization
- Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Criminal Justice, Risk Management or related field - Preferred
