The Aviation Security Supervisor plays a key role in developing and implementing aviation security programs. This position is responsible for creating and distributing security procedures, conducting training, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining aviation security systems. The supervisor performs security audits, analyzes findings, and identifies trends to determine root causes and solutions. Additionally, they cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role includes supervisory responsibilities within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate on security initiatives, focusing on aviation enhancements and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance security methodologies, and leverage technology for improved efficiency.
- Independently conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies, identifying violations in a detailed and professional manner.
- Prepare and deliver professional, accurate, and comprehensive presentations to UPS management.
- Analyze trends to develop preventive measures.
- Assist in the development of Master Operating Plans for global operations.
- Conduct regulatory compliance audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent (preferred).
- Preference may be given to applicants with previous experience in the military or law enforcement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including split shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability for 24/7 on-call duty and corporate cellphone monitoring.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
