Job Description:

Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment

Job Summary

Supervisor will direct the nightly sort operations for the Regional Truck Hub. Applicant will oversee a team of dockworkers and drivers ensuring loading accuracy, employee safety, and mitigation of freight damages. Loaders will be loading palletized freight onto trailers with forklifts. Supervisor will also communicate with carriers via email or phone and will be responsible for end of shift reporting and documentation for drivers and staff members.

Supports the movement and growth opportunities for inbound and outbound cargo for freight forwarding customers. Ensures that freight is processed in compliance with governmental regulations (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, etc.). Collaborates with vendors, customers, commercial airline carriers, ocean freightliners, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments.

Responsible for overseeing, evaluating, and correcting the performance and outcomes of a team or multiple teams. Coordinates work across the organization to optimize efficiency. Makes key workforce decisions, such as hiring, onboarding, transferring, laying off, disciplining, assigning, directing, instructing, developing, and rewarding employees. Emphasis on aligning processes and fostering cohesion among team members.

Supervises a team(s) that performs work according to standardized processes or procedures (e.g., entry-level Professional Expertise, Administrative or Technical Support). Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Problem solving is guided by policies, procedures and the local business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Typically, does not perform the work supervised.

  • Job Grade: 20F

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself –Required.

  • Shift: Saturday – Thursday 8pm - 5am
