ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Oversee UPM's "Emerging Markets" team of talented Inside Sales specialists.
- Specify actions necessary for customer segments growth, maintenance, or exit.
- Assist in the identification, development, and evaluation of marketing strategy based on the knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
- Initiate customer campaigns, analyze their findings, and develop a strategy with the Marketing Department.
- Assess market potential of new and existing markets with regard for potential, profitability, and business fit.
- Confer or consult with department heads to plan campaigns and growth strategy.
- Confer with potential customers regarding needs and advise customers on capabilities and product offerings
- Discuss price schedules and discount rates with Marketing.
- Direct and coordinate activities involving sales.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products with the Marketing department.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
- Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees and oversees staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
