United Pet Care (UPC) is a high-growth leader in the pet healthcare industry. We’re a mission-driven team single-mindedly focused on making world-class pet care affordable and accessible to pet parents everywhere. We work with employers to distribute our pet health savings plan to pet parents across the country so they can save meaningful money at a nationwide network of high-quality veterinarians.
We’re on the hunt for an Account Manager extraordinaire! You'll be at the forefront of fostering meaningful relationships with our employer group clients, keeping those client relationships purring along smoothly (see what we did there?). Everything from providing day-to-day support to your book of business which often includes cross collaborating with other departments, to mingling at both virtual and in-person client events, and onboarding new clients. You’ll be responsible for both the retention and driving growth of your assigned book of business, strategizing with both our HR and Broker partners to increase engagement.

This hybrid role is based out of our sunny Tempe, AZ office, with the opportunity to work remotely up to two days a week after your 90-day training. Occasional travel is required. If you’re in the greater Phoenix area (or planning to relocate), we’d love to hear from you!
What you’ll be accountable for :
- Serve as the strategic lead for your assigned client portfolio, ensuring high engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with both employer group clients and Broker partners.
- Oversee the post-sale client experience, including onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on UPC’s offerings, delivering best practices and strategic recommendations.
- Host webinars, lead client-facing presentations, and attend in-person open enrollment events as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless client experience, from product updates to file feed adoption.
- Actively work to reduce churn and exceed retention, growth, and satisfaction targets.
