Job Title: R&D Engineer
Location: Maple Grove, MN (Hybrid)
Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on R&D Engineer to support test method transfer and equipment setup activities for our Device Integration Support workstream. This contract role is based in Maple Grove, MA and requires a hybrid work arrangement, with onsite presence during critical phases such as test method setup, testing, and validation. The role also includes 10–20% domestic travel during the initial six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the transfer and setup of test methods and equipment at the Maple Grove facility.
- Establish and refine test methods; conduct model development as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams on method development, tooling creation, and print generation.
- Assist in the creation of tooling assemblies and technical drawings.
- Participate in and support device testing activities.
- Plan and schedule work independently to ensure project timelines are met.
- Contribute to method release and documentation in collaboration with the in-house team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in engineering, preferably within a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, biotech).
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically (10–20%) during the project period.
