Description
United Plastic Fabricating is the industry leader in the manufacture of plastic water tanks for the fire industry. In addition, we design and manufacture a variety of products for the industrial and transportation markets.
The automation developer is part of a team that develops and maintains software and mechanical tools across the organization.
- Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from users regarding errors, problems or questions about programs and tools
- Solve issues through problem solving and root cause analysis and implement solutions quickly
- Contribute to the development of new features and functionality with sharing ideas for improvements
- Test solutions in controlled situations before it goes live
Requirements
- B.S. Degree Computer Science, plus two to four years related experience
- A self-starter who possesses good interpersonal skills capable of effectively interacting with all departments
- Creativity and an understanding of business needs and requirements
- Experience with Priority Management
- Familiar with Windows OS
Nice to Have
- Independent problem solving with Logic Structures
- Basic Linear Algebra: Vectors, Normals, Dot Products
- Language: C#, SQL, VB, Javascript, Python, Git/GitHub
- Interest in mechanical design
- Developing reports and/or analytical models
- General 3D modeling
- Visual Studio
- Sigma Nest
- G-code, Routers
- Experience working in a Lean environment
