Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production of high-quality portable buildings.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in the management and supervision of shop personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
· Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality and safety.
· Conduct thorough quality assurance and inspections at various stages of the production process.
· Maintain accurate inventory of materials and supplies.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
· Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
· Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
· Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
· Operate various manufacturing equipment and tools.
Qualifications:
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency is highly recommended
· 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
· 3 years of specific experience in the shed & portable building industry is a plus.
· Proven ability to manage and motivate personnel.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
· Strong understanding of quality assurance and inspection procedures.
· Proficient in material procurement and inventory management
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
· Proficient in using various manufacturing equipment and tools.
· Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
· Physically able to climb ladders, crawl under buildings, and other standard manufacturing expectation
