What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician/Operator position at United Property Restoration Services?
We are an established and growing restoration general contractor that specializes in rebuilding and restoring residential buildings after a flood, fire, or other natural disaster. We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician/Operator to join our team. This role performs tasks independently to support the field and production staff, by delivering equipment, materials, and supplies to job sites. They are responsible for the daily maintenance of facility, equipment, and supplies. The Facility Technician supports the Logistics Manager with the company dispatching and operation of vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment. This role is responsible for inspecting and reporting safety issues, and scheduling routine services on vehicles as required. This role is also responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized, which includes any necessary grounds maintenance, as needed (i.e. snow plowing).
Requirements:
- Previous experience a warehouse environment and use of a forklift
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
- Working knowledge of construction materials, maintenance systems, and technical operations.
- Basic knowledge of equipment repair.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player.
- Must pass a drug test and background check.
- Able to lift/move 80 lbs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Ability to support afterhours/weekend emergency services with equipment retrieval.
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to travel to New York & Massachusetts offices, as needed, for facilities support.
- Forklift certification and/or OSHA 10 are preferred.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm with ability to support afterhours needs. Large potential for overtime.
