What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Adjuster position at United Public Adjusters (Unified Public Advocacy)?

Unified Public Advocacy Non-Profit Organization is the only national 501(c)(3) non-profit public adjusting firm in the United States. Our mission is to help communities and protect policyholders. We believe in doing everything we can to make a difference in our clients' lives.

UPA is invested in helping people during some of the most challenging times of their lives. UPA is looking for people who have the same intentions as the company. We don't sell anything and you won't either.

Responsibilities

  • Close Leads
  • Inspect property damage
  • Analyze complex information from different sources
  • Examine policy coverage
  • Prepare and process claim reports
  • Consult with specialists (e.g. physicians, engineers)
  • Calculate estimates using software
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjuster’s

Requirements and skills

  • With or without Public Adjuster License (preferred)
  • (for candidates with no licensing you are required to enroll to a Public Adjuster course)
  • Previous experience as a public adjuster or similar role
  • Working experience in using estimating software
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Experience in writing detailed reports
  • A compassionate and resilient personality
  • High school diploma, University diploma preferred
  • Degree in Insurance, Finance or similar field is a plus

Pay: $81,900.00 - $184,136.00 per year
