We maintain an impressive fleet of tanker trucks, roll-off containers, and support equipment to handle day-to-day removal requests as well as emergency response situations. Our full-service corporation can assure clients quality service in the areas of transportation, disposal, site remediation, decontamination, plant closures, tank cleaning and removal, and various other environmental needs.
We seek a Customer Service Representative having experience in environmental compliance, waste profiling and manifesting, and who is comfortable working in a fast-paced team setting. Particularly seeking someone with experience in supporting the planning and management of environmental spill response services.
This is an hourly paid position with opportunity for advancement to Sales Representative/Account Manager. Job functions and qualifications for the position are as follows:
Job Functions
- Receives telephone calls from customers; refers calls to Sales Representative or provides customer with information they request
- Supports Sales Representative in developing proposals and customer follow-up
- Performs waste classification and prepares waste profiles and manifests
- Inputs manifests into TDX system
- Prepares work orders and job packets, and forwards to Dispatch
- Checks completed work orders for accuracy
- Conducts research on billing inquiries as needed
- Generates customer data reports
- Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in environmental field related customer service (nice to have).
- Minimum education level having high school diploma
- Formal environmental certifications a plus (e.g., DOT, HAZWOPER, Hazmat, Environmental Management, other)
- Knowledge of waste classification, waste profiling and manifesting
- Dispatch experience a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in the English language and ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and data entry with high level of accuracy (Microsoft Dynamics/business central a plus).
- Able to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to assist in planning and managing large contracts in an efficient manner
