This position involves regular fieldwork and working closely with other departments to provide a high standard of living for residents.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Property Inspector is responsible for inspecting properties, enforcing lease terms, and working with the Property Operations Team to maintain high-quality living conditions. The role requires significant time spent in the field, conducting both scheduled and impromptu inspections, while also spending time in the office to organize reports and communicate with residents and the management team. The Property Inspector helps identify maintenance issues, reports findings, and works with teams to resolve them efficiently. They must possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to communicate effectively with residents and team members. This position requires consistent communication with Property Operations Team and Director of Property Operations to ensure accountability and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular inspections of managed properties and ensure compliance with lease terms.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections, providing notices to residents as necessary.
- Review and act on inspection findings, keeping the Property Operations Team informed.
- Assist in the resolution of maintenance issues and follow up on work orders.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, resident histories, and related actions in Rent Manager.
- Deliver notices and violations to residents and document the process.
- Assist the Property Operations Team with additional tasks as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma required; additional education preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience with basic computer software, including office equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and household appliances is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
