Position Purpose:
To safely perform all required daily duties in the day-to-day operations of the Springdale Terminal under the guidance of the employee’s immediate supervisor and experienced co-workers.
Terminal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safe transport product receiving operations
- Safe loading rack operations
- Safe tank farm operations
- Terminal maintenance
- Administrative/office duties
- Bill of lading
- Follow established state and federal safety, health, and environmental policies
- Adhere to all URC safety policies and procedures
- Plan and organize assigned jobs
- Complete work assignments with supervision
- Initiate work orders as needed
- Ensure all tools and equipment are kept in proper working condition
- Maintain communications
- Attend meetings as required
- Complete job cards daily
- Maintain radio communication as required
- Prepare stockroom withdrawals as required
- Report job assignment progress to supervisor
- Request permits as required
- Document spill clean-up as required
- To perform under normal conditions
- Remove and install process filters
- Remove, maintain and/or install the following;
- Misc. within piping systems
- Pressure relief valves
- Tank gauging
- Product transfer operations
- Winterize equipment
- Clean process equipment
- Landscaping
- Process equipment blinding
- Environmental controls
- Wear respirator protection as required
- To perform under emergency conditions
- Stand-by to include but not limited to;
- Severe weather conditions
- Electrical power outages/interruptions
- Fires
- Spills
- Extinguish incipient fires
- Wear respirator protection as required
- Provide support services as required
- Assist as needed to expedite process shutdowns and/or turnarounds
- Assist other personnel as required
- Assist contractors as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic computer literacy
- Microsoft Word & Excel experience preferred
- Basic mechanical/troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge & usage of tools such as: hand, power, pneumatic, electric, landscaping.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to safely operate terminal equipment such as: light plant, Bobcat, chainsaw, farm tractor, sandblast equiptment, boiler, hot oil heater.
- Ability to follow & adhere to all United Refining Company policies and procedures including OSHA safety rules and regulations and safe work practices.
- Two-way radio operation
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Proficient reading ability
- Fire extinguisher operation
- Basic piping, valve, and transfer operations
- Basic math
- Hazardous materials handling
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- At least two years of work-related experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license

- Outdoors work is required in all weather conditions
- FR uniforms, PPE, & outerwear provided by the company
