Job Overview
The equipment associate performs a variety of tasks supporting branch operations. Primary objective is to provide labor assistance to sales and operations staff to meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, load and unload equipment, prepare equipment for rental/sale
- Inspect equipment for damage and safe utilization
- Assist with inventory control measures
- Verify equipment for delivery and pickup orders for accuracy
- Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices in yard and shop
- Clean and paint equipment using appropriate tools and materials
- Operate machinery as needed (forklift, power washer, pumps, light shop tools and equipment)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an industrial environment preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge/experience of the construction industry a plus
- Effective organization, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to function well in a team environment with attention to detail and safety
- Ability to operate hand tools, air tools, power tools and other small equipment
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs, ability to work on feet, and in the elements year round.
- Valid driver's license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
