Position Summary :
The Marketing Manager at United Returning Citizens (URC) is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance the organization's visibility, outreach, and engagement with stakeholders. This role involves creating marketing campaigns, managing digital platforms, and overseeing branding initiatives to support URCs mission of assisting returning citizens in their reintegration journey. The Marketing Manager works collaboratively with internal teams to drive community awareness, increase program participation, and strengthen URCs brand presence.
Key Responsibilities :
I. Marketing Strategy & Campaign Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote URCs programs, services, and events.
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences and optimize engagement strategies.
- Create and manage content for promotional campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, print materials, and events.
II. Digital & Social Media Management
Oversee and maintain URCs digital presence, including website content, social media accounts, and online advertisements.Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and community engagement.Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.III. Branding & Public Relations
Ensure consistency in URCs brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials.Develop press releases, newsletters, and other public relations materials to promote URCs initiatives.Foster relationships with local media, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance URCs outreach.IV. Community Engagement & Event Marketing
Plan and coordinate marketing efforts for URC events, workshops, and community initiatives.Collaborate with program staff to create promotional materials and event communications.Represent URC at community events, networking opportunities, and partnership meetings.V. Content Creation & Management
Write and design compelling marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, blog posts, and videos.Manage content calendars to ensure timely and relevant messaging.Utilize storytelling techniques to highlight client success stories and impact narratives.VI. Data Analysis & Reporting
Track key marketing performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on campaign success.Use analytics tools to assess website traffic, social media engagement, and email marketing effectiveness.Recommend data-driven adjustments to improve outreach and engagement.Qualifications & Skills :
Experience :
At least 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields, preferably in nonprofit or social services sectors.Experience with social media management, content creation, and digital marketing tools.Knowledge of branding, public relations, and community engagement strategies.Communication Skills :
Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.Experience with press releases, newsletters, and public relations efforts.Technical Skills :
Proficiency in marketing software, including graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp), and social media schedulers.Basic knowledge of website management (WordPress or similar platforms) and SEO best practices.Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights.Organizational & Strategic Thinking :
Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans.Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Attention to detail and creativity in problem-solving.Work Environment :
