Custodian (Part Time)

We are looking for a responsible Custodian to maintain our headquarter facilities and carry out cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our offices in a clean and orderly condition. This is a part time position with morning and early afternoon hours, and some flexibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning etc.)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out targeted cleansing tasks and special projects
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or need for major repairs
• Stock and maintain supply supplies
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Skills

• Experience as janitor, custodian or similar role
• Ability to operate cleaning related equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Physical stamina: you will need to spend most of your time on your feet.
• Physical strength: capable of lifting heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
• Integrity and ability to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent
