United Security Bank has a full-time position available for a 40-hour-per-week Floating Teller.
One year of banking operations experience as a bank teller. Have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, have basic mathematical skills, be analytical, problem-solver, and have great organizational skills. Good verbal/written communication skills and excel in multi-tasking.
The teller will float to surrounding branches to fill in as needed in Fresno, Oakhurst, Caruthers, San Joaquin, Firebaugh, and Coalinga to fill in as a Teller. The home branch will be located in Fresno.
General Responsibilities:
Performs various CSR/Teller activities necessary to serve customers at the Teller window. This position will float to surrounding branches wherever needed to fill in as a teller. The Teller will receive mileage reimbursement when floating to Oakhurst, Caruthers, San Joaquin, Firebaugh, or Coalinga. When not floating, the home branch will be in Fresno.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Identifies a customer’s needs and introduces them to appropriate bank services through a cross-selling effort.
2) Accepts deposits to checking, savings, and other accounts. Prepares cash reports for deposits over governmental maximums.
3) Cashes checks and handles account withdrawals.
4) Sells traveler's cheques, cashier’s checks, money orders, gift cards, and travel cards.
5) Accepts Fast-Cash, Master Charge, Visa, and loan payments.
6) Lists and approves cash pay items.
7) Verifies assigned cash drawer from and to the vault.
8) Balances cash in the drawer. Maintains cash draw within the maximum prescribed by Bank policy.
9) Obtains supervisor’s approval to process items larger than approval limits.
10) During slow periods fill in by processing checking accounts statements and similar activities.
11) Answers telephone and performs other clerical duties.
12) Performs related CSR assignments or as necessary for a balanced workflow.
13) Compliance with all Bank rules and policies applicable to each regular or assigned task.
14) Scans work for proof.
15) Balance ATM if applicable.
16) Drive-up if applicable.

Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
1) High School diploma or GED equivalent.
2) One year of bank teller operations experience as a teller or other operations jobs.
Have the ability to perform accurately in approach to work output. Ability to count and balance cash rapidly and accurately and to locate own errors.
3) Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions. Ability to accurately work with numbers and perform arithmetic calculations.
4) Ability to use a 10-key adding machine and other office machines. Ability to learn the use of personal computers and specific software for job assignments.
5) Ability to work courteously and effectively with Bank customers and staff members in person or on the telephone.
6) Must be able to stand for extended periods at the teller window.
7) Must have a clean DMV record and proof of automobile insurance.
