Position Overview:
The Director of Finance is responsible for the Finance Department and its operations. To ensure the corporation’s financial statements are updated and accurate as well as complying with financial regulations as well as implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. Also responsible for the oversight of accurate and timely processing of payroll and related taxes.
Duties:
- Month end, quarter end, year-end reporting and analysis of balance sheet and income statements
- Monthly Financials – Review balance sheet and income statement and perform analysis
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Oversee cash management and recording of cash
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Internal controls and compliance
- Assist with all audits – Insurance, Union, Accounting, Year-end, and Bank
- Oversee payroll process
- Oversee ADP tax processing
- Analyze pricing models for new bids and jobs
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in general accounting and financial analysis
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work under limited supervision and is able to problem solve
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Have analytical abilities, team working capabilities and be results oriented
- Strong attention to detail.
- This is not a remote position.
Education:
- BS/BA in Accounting
- CPA certification a plus
